Birds, bees and flowers
You can’t go wrong at the Blooms by the Sea show. Looks like it has something for everyone. Hope I get to take it all in. Already looking forward to next year.

Will there be anything on salt and wind tolerant plants? Pruning and grafting fruit trees and roses? Beekeeping? Garden design?

We will have workshops on native plants and, while I’m not sure exactly what plants will be discussed, it seems to me that native plants are (must be) wind and salt tolerant. My advice to you is to attend the session given by Melanie Priesnitz. Click on her name on the Program Page to get information about her expertise! There is a workshop on Bees which will be presented by John Hood. In terms of Garden Design, check out the workshop(s) by Alice d’Entremont. She will do one on Saturday and again on Sunday and is an expert in this topic.

I am so looking forward to this show. I’ve just booked a hotel for the Saturday night so that we don’t have to miss any of Saturday’s programing in order to get back home to Lawrencetown. We’re originally from Toronto, where garden shows are abundant. Since retiring down here, I really miss them. We are planning on making this an annual event. Wishing you a very successful show.
